Dynamics of Residential Differentiation and Segregation of Foreigners in Czech Metropolitan Areas
Klsák, Adam ; Ouředníček, Martin (advisor) ; Čermák, Zdeněk (referee) ; Uherek, Zdeněk (referee)
Czechia has become a noteworthy case study of international migration within Central and Eastern Europe. With a steadily increasing inflow of international migrants, it is anticipated that their contribution to the societal and urban dynamics will become more pronounced. This influx has led to a rise in socio-economic and ethnic heterogeneity, reflected in spatial patterns where distinctive population groups are localized. The expe- riences from traditional immigration countries indicate that the voluntary concentration of foreigners into ethnic enclaves often serves as an intermediary phase in the integration process. However, it can also pose significant risks in situations where immigrants are not willing to participate in broader society or face exclusion. The primary goal of this dissertation is to enhance the comprehension of the spatial distribution of foreigners across selected Czech metropolitan areas and to explain the related phenomena on multiple scales within the urban hierarchy. The investigation seeks suitable data sources and methodological frameworks to analyze the current state, trajectory, determinants, and particularities of socio-spatial differentiation and segrega- tion. Furthermore, a significant focus lies in the nuanced and theoretically grounded interpretation of results,...

Kočíbová, Iveta ; Čada, Lukáš (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This Master Thesis deals with the design of part of ICT infrastructure migration of two sites of the international company to the external data center. It analyzes the current status of company ICT, describes the virtualization infrastructure and its operational costs. Main part of the Thesis describes a possible solution of migration of virtualization infrastructure to external data center by using project management tools and methods. Finally, the Thesis summarizes project benefits for the company.
Study of mesenchymal stem cell migration in the extracellular matrix based on principles of chemotaxis
Scholasterová, Viktorie ; Fohlerová, Zdenka (referee) ; Chmelíková, Larisa (advisor)
This thesis engages in a study of mesenchymal stem cell migration in extracellular matrix based on principles of chemotaxis. First, attention is focused on a theoretical part associated with a clarification of basic terms such as extracellular matrix, migration, confocal microscopy, mesenchymal stem cells or chemotaxis. There is also included a list and a description of some basic methods for monitoring cell migration and a more detailed description of a method called transwell assay, which has been chosen for an experiment in a practical part of this thesis. This part includes protocols of individual steps for the preparation of the experiment, the procedure of data processing obtained by scanning cells with a confocal microscope and a description of the resulting confluence values.
Virtual environment by Xen software
Kulíř, Tomáš ; Kouřil, Jiří (referee) ; Jelínek, Mojmír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis, which is called the virtual environment by Xen software, deals with the operating system GNU / Linux and its distributions. It also deals with the virtualization on the server or desktop computer, in particular, describes in detail the Xen environment, including all of its options and the most forgotten server services. In the first chapter is analyzed the concept of GNU / Linux. First, there is documented history. Another section deals with a brief overview of the most commonly occurring distributions. The main part of this chapter is primarily devoted to a specific distribution Debian. There is described not only the history and development of this distribution, but also more packaging system is analyzed there. The last part of this chapter is devoted to the installation options with a detailed description of the whole process step by step. Second and the most important chapter is devoted to virtual environments. Once again, there is first described their history, the possibility of practical use and the types of virtualization are also indicated there. Reader will find there a brief analysis of the most commonly used virtualization systems. The third chapter detailed deals with the Xen technology. There is not only explained the principle on which the virtualization is built, but the main part of this chapter focuses on the practical use and a summary of basic functions. The next section describes the installation and administration of hypervisor including previous preparation. A very important point is also creation of the virtual machines and their control, their migration to another physical hardware or a description of the installation of other operating systems than Linux. Fourth, shorter chapter deals with a listing and a brief description of server services. The final chapter consists of a summary of problems or complications, which in the course of this work occurred.
FACEPLATE library for WinCC V11 HMI Software
Kubát, Zdeněk ; Zezulka, František (referee) ; Pásek, Jan (advisor)
The first goal of this Bc. work was to verify if and under what circumstances is it possible for the FACEPLATE library to migrate from WinCC version 7 into WinCC version 11. The second goal was to create graphical objects of electric equipment of the FACEPLATE library for the environment of WinCC version 11 SP2. Each object in the library was given a program for easy connect with code saved in PLC. The last part of the work is dedicated to verification of functionality of the created library using a model example.
Potter Wasp
Davydenko, Polina ; Mazanec, Martin (referee) ; Klímová, Barbora (advisor)
The work deals with the topic of migration and subsequent integration of the migrant into society, his feelings of nostalgia, and homesickness. Potter wasps and their way of life are similar to humans in some aspects. Suburbanization of the Olomouc city and its impact on city center and surroundings
Maršálková, Marcela ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on residential suburbanization within Olomouc city and its surroundings. The aim of the thesis is to determine the degree of intensity of suburbanization of individual settlemements based on the available data. Pursuant evaluation, the settlements with higher suburbanization intensity will be selected and subjected to investigation. The purpose of the investigation is to determine the extent of influence by these processes and what the settlement with higher suburbanisation intensity brings to the citizens. Subsequently, the selected sites and their newly build environement will be assessed from urbanistic and architectural point of view. In conclusion, the detailed analysis of the most suburbanized settlement will be performed.
Progressive types of formwork with anticorrosion protective function
Marek, Martin ; Vaněrek, Jan (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The corrosion of the reinforcement is the main cause of malfunction of the reinforced concrete. It causes meaningful increase of liveness of the construction. The subject of this thesis is development of progressive concrete reinforcement with anticorrosive protective function. Theoretical part is focused on study and description of available corrosion inhibitors, mainly migrating inhibitors. Theory also includes summary of the principles of concrete reinforcement corrosion. The purpose of the thesis is application of migrating corrosion inhibitors to the formwork and basic testing of their efficiency.
Revitalization of the selected section of the River
Bakala, Filip ; Petr, Pelikán (referee) ; Šlezingr, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with revitalization of the selected part of river Drevnice. Main scopes of the work are proposals of fish passages through migration barriers. The work is conceived on four levels. The first of them is dealing with the general characteristics of selected segment and with description of objects on watercourse. The second level is dealing with revitalization, where the basic information about migration and efficiency of fishes are described. In this chapter basic distribution of fish ladders is included. In third part, which is the most comprehensive, I design a boulder fish ramp and bypass channel. The last chapter contains drawings documentation of watercourse Drevnice and my own proposed revitalization elements.
